Welcome to Doof! Media
Hello and welcome to Doof! Media. We're Scott Daly and Matt Freeman, and we make podcasts and online content about movies, TV, books, and the stories we love.
Our Story
The name "Doof" comes from the first letters of our founders' last names (D from Daly, F from Freeman) with two O's in between them. It's what Gwyneth Paltrow did with her own company "goop" but with significantly less wellness advice and more passionate discussions about pop culture.
Founded as an independent media company, we've grown from a small podcast operation into a vibrant community of creators and fans who share a deep love for thoughtful analysis and lively discussion of the media that shapes our world.

At Doof! Media, we create podcasts and content that dive deep into the stories, characters, and creators that fascinate us. Our shows range from comprehensive book analysis to movie breakdowns, TV series discussions, and everything in between.

- We've Got Worm and We've Got Ward: A podcast analyzing Wildbow's web serial Ward and its predecessor Worm.
- Deep In Pact: An exploration of Wildbow's Pact web serial.
- Pale in Comparison: A podcast where sisters Jenny and Malia read, discuss, and analyze Wildbow's Pact through the lens of his recent serial Pale.
- The Doof Book Club: A monthly live-streamed discussion about novels chosen by our Patreon community.
- So-Called Writers and Do the Write Thing: Podcasts where hosts - and listeners! - write short stories based on randomly generated words.
- Vow to View: A show all about marriage and the media we make each other watch, hosted by Scott and Elyse Daly.
