Little harsh on that pronunciation of hybridisation there.
Order of the Stick doesn’t really have a “SUDDENLY REALLY GOOD” mark, IMO, but it does follow a steady upward slope. The things that you think are going to come back, come back, and a lot of the sillier stuff isn’t quite shrugged off as it sits in the background, waving at where the comic is going.
Which is a bit of a laugh, as my Fav webcomic Homestuck never really stops carrying the same jokes and gags from the start.
