I was sorry you didn’t cover the Master Doorkeeper. It’s a small beat but I found it nice that the ultimate teaching of the School of Roke, the first and last lesson Ged learns, the technique more powerful than any amount of strength or cleverness or magic, is the unrivaled power of… asking for help.
Also while “darkness cannot destroy darkness” is true, it doesn’t follow necessarily at all from the idea of equilibrium. You can construct an interpretation of equilibrium where shadow can destroy and supplant other shadow, keeping the balance the same, whereas light can’t destroy darkness because that would mean more light and less dark, upsetting the equilibrium.
