We’re back! After the outpouring of wonderful feedback received after the first episode, Scott and Matt have decided to make We’ve Got Worm a weekly podcast series. Each Wednesday (Wormsday) we’ll come at you with an hour long discussion of another arc in epic Worm web serial.
This week we tackle Arc 2: Insinuation
If you have any discussion questions you’d like us to present in the next episode, or just some feedback on how to make this show better, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on one of our many social media platforms.

While reading Arc 2 I couldn’t help but notice a connection between Lung’s powers and Taylor’s bullies. Taylor is afraid that if she fights back against her bullies they will just hit her harder and more often the next time, similar to how Lung’s powers build his defenses against his attacks. Taylor is able to fight Lung and do damage but then has to rely on the aid of her, future, friends to complete the job. Just a thought! Keep up the great work.
Another theme: Escalation, really excellent example of it from you Sammy.
Thank you!

Love this podcast. I’m not a podcast fan in general, prefer reading, but am really enjoying this – thank you.
Some themes to consider so far:
Power vs powerless, with role reversal {example: danny is powerless. taylor feels powerless, but she is in fact probably the most powerful person in the room when dealing with bullies. glory girl has power and abuses it, ends up in a position of weakness related to her sister panacea.}
Consequences, unintended consequences {example: team decides to add taylor, rachel reacts. taylor fights lung in an attempt to do the right thing without enough information, almost kills him and is almost killed}
Information (informed vs uninformed, and how it effects consequences, power) {example: Emma knows stuff – power. TT knows stuff – power. Taylor has secret knowledge only of herself – power when she finally goes out and uses it. Danny is in the dark – powerless. Rachel is in the dark – reacts to take the power back}
Purpose (why you do what you do) then how that relates to the other themes. {example: Taylor is lonely and doesn’t comprehend how much it impacts her. Glory Girl and Panacea out of control. Armsmaster wants to take credit for himself.}.
Lots of really good stuff here! Thank you for contributing.
And we’re really glad you broke your no podcasts rule for us!
