I harbor a shameful obsession with Elon Musk, the demigod founder of Paypal, Tesla, SpaceX and, probably, Christianity. Apparently Elon likes to read. That makes me happy, because I also like to read. Elon and I share this rare trait. It makes me feel closer to him, closer even than the lock of his hair that I cherish.

I found a list of books that Elon said were influential for him. I am going to read all these books, and thereby obtain all of Elon’s powers.

First I will be reviewing those books on this list which I’ve already read:

The Lord of the Rings
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies (Reviewed 11/24/2015)
Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future (Reviewed 4/26/2016)

Then I’ll move on to the ones I haven’t:

Benjamin Franklin: An American Life
Einstein: His Life and Universe
Structures: Or Why Things Don’t Fall Down
Ignition!: An informal history of liquid rocket propellants
Howard Hughes: His Life and Madness

I will devour Elon’s reading list and regurgitate the choice morsels for your consumption. Hm, not sure about that metaphor. What I’m trying to say is, we’re going to go on a journey of discovery and maybe find out what’s in these pages that our mutual idol Elon found so valuable.
